About Us

As the first and only School of Global Health in the United States, we are taking an equity and human-centric approach, with the ultimate goal of envisioning a world where inequities become history. As part of this unique approach, students enrolled in our programs will go through a core curriculum that embeds the political determinants of health framework, analyzing not only their impact on population health outcomes but rethinking ways to use them so that these outcomes can be undone, prevented, and improved upon. Our School operates from the baseline understanding that in order to effect change, a student should be exposed to the multivariate facets affecting health. As such, students can expect to take courses along a wide range such as mental and behavioral health, health economics, communications, disaster management, healthcare sustainability, leadership, transdisciplinary research, emerging technologies, global health diplomacy and security, community needs assessments, and business and entrepreneurship.
